About Me

My name is Jake McCann and I am an avid sports fan. I enjoy watching a large variety of sports and I love to analyze sports statistics and research athlete profiles. I created this blog to provide commentary for recent daily sporting events and news. In addition to this blog, I also have experience as a freelance writer, including writing articles for the online sports publication Talking Points Sports, as well as other small community based publications.

My goal is to inform readers about the latest sports news. I’m also using this blog to build my writing portfolio for future journalism opportunities. I hope to write for a local sports news outlet and eventually for a national sports media publication like USA Today or ESPN.
