Brett Favre

Favre is a Hall of Fame QB who played for the Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, and the Minnesota Vikings. He is an eleven-time Pro Bowl QB (1992-93, 1995-97, 2001-03, 2007-09) and has one Super Bowl championship (XXXI). He won three consecutive NFL MVP awards from 1995-97, and was named Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year in 2007. He played college football for Southern Mississippi from 1987-1990.

In his Freshman year, Favre started out as the seventh-string QB for Southern Mississippi, before taking over in the second half of a week three game against Tulane, where he led the Golden Eagles to a come-from-behind victory, with two touchdowns. In his Junior season, he led the Golden Eagles to an upset victory over Florida State. The Seminoles were the 5th ranked team in the nation, at that time. In the summer of 1990, before the start of Favre’s senior season, he was involved in a serious car accident. After being taken to the hospital, his doctors would have to remove 30 inches from his small intestine. Six weeks later, he led the Golden Eagles to victory against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Favre had his number 4 jersey retired by Southern Mississippi.

His number 4 jersey was retired by Green Bay in 2015, and became a member of the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame. In 2016, he was inducted into the Pro-Football Hall of Fame.
