Dynamic Duo: Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir

If I asked you to name a famous duo you might answer with, Micheal Jordan and Scottie Pippen, Ronald Reagan and George H. Bush, Batman and Robin, Scooby Doo and Shaggy Rogers, among several others, but when it comes to ice dancing, there isn’t a more Dynamic Duo than Canadians Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir. The pair are the most decorated ice dancers in Canadian history and the most decorated Olympic figure skaters of all-time. They began skating together in 1997, when Virtue was seven and Moir was nine. The two announced their retirement on September 17, 2019 ,and performed together one last time on November 23rd.

Together, Virtue and Moir won the Olympic Gold Medal in Ice Dancing in 2010, in front of a home crowd in Vancouver, and again in 2018, in Pyeongchang, South Korea. They also won the Silver Medal at the 2014 Games in Sochi, Russia. They also contributed to Canada’s Silver Medal in the Team Event in 2014, and the Gold Medal in the Team Event in 2018.
