James Harden is an American basketball player for the Houston Rockets, and played for the Oklahoma City Thunder from 2009 to 2012. He has represented Team USA in the FIBA Basketball World Cup and the Olympics. Harden played Division One college basketball for Arizona State (ASU).

Not known for their basketball, ASU produced a high power athlete. In his Freshman season, Harden led the Sun Devils to the 2008 NIT, where they would advance through two rounds, defeating Alabama State and Southern Illinois, before losing to Florida in the next round. Harden earned First Team All-Pac-10 Honors and was named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman Team. In 2009, the Sun Devils marched their way to a third place finish in the Pac-10 regular season, with a runner-up finish in the Pac-10 Tournament, and earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament, only to lose to Syracuse in the second round. For his efforts in the Pac-10 Tournament, Harden was named to the 2009 All-Pac-10 Tournament Team, as well as winning Pac-10 Conference Player of the Year. Harden was also a Consensus All-American in 2009.

Harden is a seven-time NBA All-Star (2013-2019), five-time All-NBA First Team (2014, 2015, 2017-2019), and a League MVP (2018). He was a member of Team USA, that won the Gold Medal in the 2012 Olympic Games, and the first place finish in the FIBA World Cup in 2014.

So far Harden is at 19,932 points, with 5,000 assists, and 4,203 rebounds. he also has 411 blocks, and 1,251 steals.
