Emma Weyant

Emma Weyant is an American swimmer. She’s 20 years-old. She represented the United States at the Tokyo Olympics. Emma was a silver medalist there. Emma currently attends the University of Virginia and competed in the 2022 NCAA Championships where she finished second. Emma Weyant racked up several wins for Virginia and was a big contributor to the team’s success during her 2021/22 Freshman season.

Emma Weyant is a Freshman at the University of Virginia. She wasted no time establishing herself as a dominant swimmer. She was a winner in the 1000 meter freestyle and finished second in the 500 meter freestyle in a team swim meet against the University of California (Berkeley). She also won the 200 meter relay and 200 meter backstroke against Army. She won the 500 meter freestyle against Texas. Emma finished third in three different disciplines in the Tennessee Invitational. Other key victories for Emma this year include winning the 1000 meter freestyle, and 500 meter freestyle against NC State. She won the 500 meter freestyle and finished second in the 400 meter individual medley at the ACC Championships. Emma Weyant competed at the 2022 NCAA Division One Swimming and Diving Championships where she finished second in the 500 meter freestyle.

Emma Weyant’s most notable accomplishments came as a member of the U.S. Swim Team. She finished second in the 4×200 meter freestyle at the 2021 World Championships. Emma Wayant won the Silver Medal in the 400 meter individual medley at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, which were held in 2021 because of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Emma Weyant’s early success shows a glimpse of what the future of the U.S. Swimming will look like if/when Katie Ledecky retires.
